BIG RAPIDS — Keegan McKinnon is among the players hoping to help the Crossroads baseball team, enjoy a strong season.
It’s McKinnon’s senior year.
Crossroads was scheduled to play home on Thursday against Mesick, but the games were postponed because of the weather.
It’s his second year with baseball and he’s looking to play various positions.
“I’m looking to catch the ball better and getting better accuracy when I throw,” he said.
Hitting “is something I definitely need to work on,” McKinnon added. “I’m looking to be hitting the ball (better). I think our strength will be our defense.”
McKinnon is one of only two seniors on the team and is looking to be a senior leader. He also runs track
“I think our team will be good. I’m confident we can go far this year.”
Teams in the West Michigan D League “are pretty decent but we’re probably on the same level with everyone else,” McKinnon said.
